What has your apprenticeship been like, what have you learnt?
As the year has progressed, I’ve got to be involved in more and more aspects of production. My day-to-day tasks are very varied depending on what different productions we’re covering at the time – so I get to do all sorts! This can include acquiring casting shortlists, researching and booking locations, booking voice-over sessions, clearing scripts etc. I’ve also got to attend different shoots when production support is needed.
I’ve learnt how the whole production process works from the beginning of the creative idea to delivering the final product on a variety of productions including photoshoots, radio, and TV adverts.
I’ve also been lucky enough to have been involved across many campaigns, so it’s fair to say I’ve learnt a great deal during my time at Golley Slater. This experience will help me massively when it comes to continuing to work in production, I’ve gained so much more of an understanding and knowledge of the job role and industry as a whole.
